COPA AMERICA: MEXICO-URUGUAY AND CHILE-PERU
Chile and Peru were both already through. Peru chose to play with a squad of alternates, whereas Chile went for the win by starting out with alternates, then subbing in 3 of their big stars in order to secure the win. However, although they did win 1-0, it was by own goal from an unfortunate Peru player. Excuse me for sounding bitter, but Peru is one of my favourites.
Still in keeping with the fact that I have no computer still, and can only upload a limited amount of photos to my small notebook, this picspam will be SMALL.

The Mexico-Uruguay match was one of the most exciting I've ever seen. Uruguay won 1-0 which means they will have to face Argentina in the next round. I feel bad for Mexico, a team I really like a lot. (And I am sorry I won't be staring at Rafa Marquez Lugo anymore for awhile until the Mexican league gets underway.) Mexico almost equalized with a Lugo header, but he was called offside. If Uruguay had tied they would have played someone else in the next round, either Colombia, or perhaps another team. I don't know, it was so confusing to try and figure it all out. Mexico actually had to win this match in order to move on.
Btw, my favourite Copa teams in order: #1 - Colombia, #2 - Paraguay, #3 - Uruguay, #4 - Peru.

Don't think I won't be posting pics of my bb:

No matter how it goes, that match will undoubtedly be one of the most painful things in my football life up to now. It's the team I've loved since I began understanding football as a child versus the one that has my two favorite players, as well as being the home country of a lot of friends and of my favorite club.
The idea of the two of them facing each other in such an important match is horrible and heartbreaking.
But... more than 20 years of love, joy and despair cannot be put aside, so I will be wholeheartedly behind Argentina.
