FOOTBALL MEME - DAY 5
5. Which football moment has made you the happiest?
That's so difficult! There are many moments - seeing Millos play in person, watching River Plate win the 2008 Clausura, seeing Independiente win the 2010 Copa Sudamericana, watching Junior win the 2010 Apertura, being in Lisbon to see Benfica play in person, and watching Tottenham Hotspur's incredible run in this year's Champions League. But I guess my happiest football moment would be meeting the Athletic Club Bilbao players at their training ground in Lezama, Spain, this past December.
I mean...I had Fernando Amorebieta's arm around me! Andoni Iraola spoke to me about being in Canada! Fernando Llorente signed the ball I bought at the Athletic Shop and when I looked into his eyes I saw how blue they were - like cornflowers! And seeing Javi Martinez in person - he is so sexy - and listening to him talking endlessly with fans. And all the other lovely players. I will always remember that wonderful day.
