MEME TIME!

Snagged this fantastic meme from [livejournal.com profile] adorerdollylux.

1. Name your six degrees from someone famous. Oh god, there are a lot. When I was young I followed some musicians around. But my husband is friends with the guitarist from Rush. That's only two degrees, right? Okay, then, John Lennon. When I was a teen my boyfriend at the time worked as a roadie at a rock show when the Beatles played there. At the time I was grounded, but my bf called me from the show saying, "Where the hell are you? I told John Lennon you look like Patti Boyd and he wants to meet you!" I couldn't go. My dad was adamant. I cried for a week and have regretted ever since that I didn't climb out the bathroom window and go to the show! (Yes, I was the spitting image of Patti Boyd although she is a lot older than me. XD)
2. What have you wanted to do & haven't yet? Write a complete novel, travel through South America, have a career in broadcasting.
3. What is your favorite meal? The barbeque beef ribs from my favourite Caribbean restaurant, complete with their delicious sauce, is my current favourite, although I have other meals that I love equally.

4. If you can save only one pair of shoes in your closet? My new taupe suede Mary Janes.
5. What handbag would you buy if money was no object? It would have to be an insanely gorgeous bag from Donatella Versace that I tried to buy on ebay a couple of years ago but FAILED. I'll try to find a picture of it.

Here it is. Fantastic or what? I am very conservative, but seriously, hot, crazy bags like this one rock my world.

6. Do you have a girl crush? If so, who? Not really, although I find I can't stop staring at the actress who plays Lynne Kresge (Michelle Forbes) in Season Two of 24.
7. What's your vice? Being too 'know-it-all' sometimes, especially with my kids.
8. Last song you listened to? 'Free Bird' by Lynryd Skynryd. At least I fell asleep listening to their 'Gold' CD last night and that's the last song I remember hearing.

1. If you could choose to live any place, where would it be? Lisbon, Portugal.
2. If you could only wear one color for a month what would you choose? Yow, that's hard. But probably brown.
3. Do you own pets? Yes, three cats: Rusty, Cally (Nacho) and Simon. But we also have a rabbit named Humpty that we rescued from the cats a few months ago.
4. What is your dream job? Hosting my own footie TV talk show for female fans.
5. What is your favorite dessert? melon salad with grapefruit and fresh mint.
6. What type of music do you listen to? Pretty much everything but my favourite is southern rock.
7. Name one thing that makes you happy. My LJ.
8. If you could have an hour long shopping spree at any store, where would you choose? This is difficult. But probably Hettlage in Munich, Germany.

1. Why did you start your blog? Five or six years ago (I forget) I wrote some Lord of the Rings fanfic and while involved in onering.net I met some people who also had LJs and influenced me to get one too. It is not the one I am using now, though. I started this one in 2006 I think.
2. If you dumped your handbag right now, what contents would fall out of your makeup bag? Four lipsticks, two lip glosses, 1 lip brush, 1 small tube mascara, 1 emery board, 1 small mirror, 1 pkg dental floss, a keychain holding a small pen from the airplane and Listerine Pocket Packs in cool mint.
3. Which celebrity do you wish you had on speed dial to call for shopping dates? Julia Roberts.
4. Favorite Ben & Jerry's flavor? Chocolate chip cookie dough.
5. What are you most looking forward to pulling out of your closet this fall? Some skanky old t-shirts that no longer deserve to live.
6. Describe your personal style in three words: iconoclastic with a conservative look. In other words, I am a raging nonconformist who nevertheless dresses in a neat, well-groomed, classic style. I am just more comfortable looking that way.
7. What are you currently rocking on your iPod? Kings of Leon, Gypsy Kings, La Renga.
8. What's your favorite way to mix high-end items with low-budget pieces? Ahhh...my area of expertise! I could go on and on, but let me just say that I love cheap costume jewelry that looks good and looks like it costs more than it does. That way I can have MORE of it and change it often. I love GUESS watches currently, that cost only around $100-$200. And jeans...jeans are a great thing to match with incredibly expensive and beautiful jackets.
