PAUL THE OCTOPUS

I just noticed this morning while watching the footie news on TV that Paul the Octopus guru always picks the box to his right. That and flags with red in them. When faced with Germany or Spain he chose the box on his right (as usual).

He doesn't always chose the one to the right: Germany vs. Australia. He picked Germany to the left. Same with Germany vs. England. And England also had red in their flag.

LOL, I also tried to figure out what it might be that attracts him but couldn't figure it out.

It's really amazing how this creature always manages to be right. During the Euro 2008 he apparently predicted EVERY SINGLE GAME correctly, except for the final. Wow. I'd love to know what makes this guy tick. XD

(The people in Germany call him the "Okrakel", which is a pun of the words "oracle" and "kraken". XD)

Yes, Paul is certainly now a famous icon! What with him, the vuvuzelas and even Zakumi the mascot, this WC will be remembered as much for its creatures as its controversies!

I know...and I laughed when I read that Spain had offered to protect Paul from becoming sushi anytime soon!

Hahahaha. I love the Spanish name for Paul..."El Pulpo". That is sort of self-explanatory. LOL.
