While watching the World Cup games I've been enchanted by a few of the countries' national anthems. There is the well-known and beloved Germany anthem, Portugal's is also quite beautiful and stirring, and while the national anthems are ALL special, this one is my favourite:

Is yummy. I need to start paying more attention to non spaniards and boys that play for teams other than Real. I really have become overly focused. Shame on me.

Good call! I was afraid of becoming overly focused awhile back so I started to 'spread out' a bit and start watching teams and leagues other than Real Madrid and La Liga. I may be crazy now because I watch so much football and have so many favourites, and run 6 LJ comms, but I can't help it! Maybe I have become too unfocused! LOL. There must be a happy medium somewhere. :)

I think I will stick with la Liga for now. I made a new comm. I think I have lost my mind. la_liga_love I figured it would be the best way to get me to be less Real centric. And I have to say I am a bit intrigued by Hercules CF at the moment. It's just such a great name. I'll start pimping it after the WC. No one cares about leagues right now.

That sounds like a GREAT new comm! That's lovely...and I like the idea that we can get away from Real Madrid a little bit. I agree with you that Hercules CF is a fantastically romantic name for a club. Someone on my flist has recently come back from Spain where she was studying in Alicante, and she went to some Hercules games last year. She loves them, so I'm glad because they must have a pretty good team! I'm going to join that comm! :)
