COPA AMERICA: PARAGUAY VS ECUADOR

Paraguay and Ecuador - two big, strong teams - played to a 0-0 draw on Sunday night. But the game was much more exciting than that sounds. These teams are equal in several ways - they each have a strong, physical presence, have both good defenses and attacking players, and mobility in the midfield. Not surprising that the result was a draw. Players to watch: Marcelo Estigarribia for Paraguay, a very dynamic left-sided player. After several shots on goal, he was unlucky not to score.

COPA AMERICA: URUGUAY VS PERU

A very interesting match. Peru surprised me. This is the only national team I have ever seen live (last summer in Toronto vs the Canada NT) and I thought they were pretty good even though it was only a friendly (and against Canada). But yesterday they impressed me...a lot. This was one of the most attractive, exciting matches I've seen so far.
