CANADA TIES MEXICO - CONCACAF QUALIFIERS

Wow! I am ecstatic because Canada (my country) tied Mexico in the CONCACAF qualifiers for the World Cup 2010. Okay, it's still just the Group Stages and Mexico did not field any of their stars except for Memo Ochoa, their goalkeeper, but I'm thrilled because Mexico is No. 16 in the FIFA World national team rankings and Canada is 62nd.

CONCACAF stands for Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football. Yes, this is our group for qualifying for the World Cup. It's tough because we are up against many excellent teams, including the USA, Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala, to name a few.

Here is a small picspam from the match. Canada has many cute players and I'm so proud of them!

This is Dejan Jakovic making the tackle.

Will Johnson gets sent off.

Canada's GK, Joshua Wagenaar, comes out to make a save.

Mexico's Luis Landin also gets red-carded.

Here's Dejan again, defending well. He reminds me of Yossi Benayoun of Liverpool. Maybe it's the red kit as well.

Joshua Wagenaar again.

Here's Canada's Andrea Lombardo.

Keegan Ayre of Canada vs Patricio Araujo of Mexico.

Photobucket

Whoa. Will Johnson scored against Memo Ochoa!!!

What a clash! Canada's Andrazes Ornoch vs Sergio Avila of Mexico.

Nikolas Ledgerwood vs Patricio Araujo.

Tyler Hemmings vs Sergio Avila.

Toussaint Ricketts looks dejected as Luis Landin celebrates.

And lastly, Tyler Hemmings vs Luis Landin.
